'Varna Palæet' at the bay of Århus and Marselisborg forest.
'The Varna Palace' in Marselisborg Forest was originally a water mill. Later it became one of Århus' most popular and fashionable restaurants, existing for more than 80 years.
It's not a la carte restaurant today, but only used for celebrations and courses. It's a shame really. It was such a wonderful place for people to go during summer - either for Sunday coffee or for entertainment and dance in the summer evenings.
Just below Varna is a wonderful beach, which of course is still enjoyed by 'the Århusians' in summer .
